_Eighth graders type furiously on the keyboards in a middle school
computer lab. Their spirited online chat is all about appearances: Who
looks gross? Who wants a makeover? Most teachers would ban this kind of

In some virtual worlds, the thrill is gone
_Just a few weeks after Mafia Wars 2 went live on Facebook, Din

QR codes can be embedded with any URL, whether it is a website, video, picture, or contact information, and various sites now make it easy for any user to generate a unique code. The resulting code can be read by any smartphone equipped with a scanning app. If you have a smartphone, you can give this one a try now! _Recommendations for parents on their online children
_This white paper aims
at providing a set of recommendations for raising awareness of parents
to enhance the safety of children using virtual world sites. ENISA
believes that awareness of what children can do online and parental
involvement are crucial now-a-days. Parents should be educated,
empowered and engaged to ensure a truly positive and valuable experience
for their children, while reinforcing safety online habits in the
process.
